v1.8 · Build 0009 — ReDrafting our connections

  • Social media: Removed WhatsApp Business from the official social media channels.
  • Social Media: Updated the Social Media page to describe all twelve active accounts, aligned its canonical and sharing addresses with its current page path, and refreshed its sitemap entry.
  • Footer: Updated the shared copyright and page fallbacks to 2024–2026, preserving the original publication year and including the current year.

v1.7 · Build 0008 — Probable Crawl

  • Canonical addresses: Pointed the canonical page, social-sharing and feed addresses at https://www.redraftingamerica.org, so the bare domain is only a redirect.
  • Readability: Made the Mission seal an enlargement control that opens the full-size image, gave the Constitutional Lexicon more room, rebalanced the Bots on the Street quotation cards, and removed a sticky footer that could cover the end of long pages.
  • Bylaws: Added the public Bylaws table of contents at a stable address.
  • Search results: Made the public mission statement the homepage's description in search results and social previews, added structured data about the organization, and published a sitemap of the active pages.
  • Cultural Influences: Added two clips: Dr. Mindy's televised monologue from Don't Look Up and Elliot Alderson's society monologue from Mr. Robot.
  • Behind the website: Added the Version History and Technology Stack pages, which record how the site has changed and how it is built.
  • Universal Search: Added search across every page, paper and section of the Bylaws, opened from the header, the / key or Ctrl/⌘ K. Searches stay in the browser and are never saved.
  • Header: The header now shows the current version and build. The version opens Version History and the build opens Technology Stack, beside a search button.
  • Navigation: Fixed the name of the new page appearing as plain text at the bottom of the page after moving between pages. Screen readers still hear it, but it is no longer shown.
  • Search: Search results now list a page before its own sections and show the passage that matched. Search opens empty each time, with quick links to the Mission, the Bylaws, the Drafting Room and Contact.
  • Mobile header: The ReDrafting America name keeps its full desktop size on phones instead of shrinking, and the version, build and search button make room for it. The search filters wrap onto new lines instead of running off the edge.
  • Search: The older Search page now opens the same search window as the rest of the site, instead of a separate list of pages that could go out of date.
  • Search: Search now finds individual sections of the home page, the Mission, the Drafting Room papers, Governance, Leadership, Careers, Contact and Social Media, not just the pages themselves.
  • Search: Search suggests the right word more reliably when a mistyped word is close to two different words.
  • Cultural Influences: Each clip can now be found in search and linked to directly. A link to a clip opens the page at that clip.
  • Release feed: New releases can be followed by RSS. The Version History page has a Subscribe link to a feed that lists every release.
  • Technology Stack: The Technology Stack page now has a diagram of how a change reaches the website, and a short section on which browsers and devices the site is checked in.

v1.6 · Build 0007 — A Rose by Any Other Domain

  • New name: Moved the organization's public identity, accounts, code, hosting, domains and telephone prompts from The Utopia Project to ReDrafting America together, instead of as separate edits.
  • Domains: Added permanent redirects from the former and alternate domains to the canonical address, keeping the page path and query, and verified HTTPS on every one.
  • Brand: Adopted the approved logos, rebuilt the principal civic graphics (a sixteen-category Citizen Portal, a modernized Eleven Pillars chart and the United Republic of America seal), and chose the logo motto.
  • Social channels: Reserved the redraftingamerica handle. Facebook is the first verified channel; every channel not yet created is marked Coming soon.
  • Header: Enlarged the desktop wordmark to use the space available in the left column.
04

v1.5 · Build 0006 — Three Branches, One Shell

  • Structure: Reorganized the site into subject folders so it can grow to hold the Constitution's Articles, explainers and educational material.
  • Shared shell: Replaced page-by-page navigation with one responsive layout: navigation on the left, content in the center, and Digital Constitutional Convention controls with site audio on the right.
  • Mobile: Made phones a first-class experience, with the crest opening a full-height navigation drawer.
  • Six categories: Established About, Constitution v2.0, Learn, Community, Newsroom and Get Involved, each with an overview page that links only to destinations that are ready.
  • Breadcrumb: Moved a category-colored breadcrumb into the persistent header.
  • Start Here: Replaced the homepage's What We're Building section with a six-part Start Here guide for new visitors.
  • Careers: Added the full-resolution Eleven Pillars of Leadership graphic, with readable role cards and a download link on phones.
  • Footer: Standardized the footer and its update time, shown in Philadelphia time.
05

v1.4 · Build 0005 — Freedom of the Feed

  • The Drafting Room: Launched the Drafting Room as the public home for essays and announcements, with Paper No. 1, the Founder's Introduction, at a permanent address.
  • RSS: Added an RSS feed so readers can follow new papers and constitutional releases in any reader, without accounts.
06

v1.3 · Build 0004 — The Iconstitution

  • Browser and device identity: Replaced the single favicon with a full icon set: two PNG sizes, a multi-size icon file and an Apple touch icon, so the site looks right in tabs, bookmarks and home screens.
07

v1.2 · Build 0003 — The Gold Standard

  • Visual system: Replaced the dark theme with a cream, navy and gold constitutional-paper palette across every page.
  • Seal and Lexicon: Introduced the Official Seal on the Mission page and set the Lexicon and Citizen Portal images natively on the page instead of in frames.
08

v1.1 · Build 0002 — Checks, Balances, and Centering

  • Correctness: Fixed a styling bug that had been quietly breaking centered hero text on two pages.
  • Careers: Rebuilt the Careers page to describe the organization's real leadership structure as a volunteer nonprofit, instead of an inherited corporate role list.
  • Cultural Influences: Rebuilt the Cultural Influences page so it needs no database.
09

v1.0 · Build 0001 — A More Perfect Reboot

  • Fresh start: Replaced the earlier codebase with a from-scratch static homepage and Mission page, with the site's first visual identity: a dark background with amber and gold accents.
  • Organization: Moved the project's code into the redrafting-america GitHub organization.
  • Identity: Renamed the public organization from The Utopia Project US to ReDrafting America across pages, metadata, the feed, contact links and navigation, with the official logos and regenerated browser and device icons.
  • Web address: Made https://www.redraftingamerica.org the one canonical address. The bare domain now redirects to it.
